Rapper New Year Proclamations On Twitter

Over here at XXL we spent much of our 2010 free time following rappers
antics on Twitter. It provided us a much-needed escape from following
rappers antics in real life. So as the calendar turned on the New Year
over the weekend, we watched as our favorite artists across the Tworld
were punching in resolutions and proclamations for 2011. Some we agreed
with while others made far-fetched statements that we couldnt quite
co-sign. Whatever the case, XXL breaks em down.
Fabolous

Probably of Happening: 5/10
As usual, Fab got his Trending Topic on just before the New Year. Here
we find two of the highlightsboth relatively everyman resolutions.
Unless Fab gets pulled over for tweeting while driving, though, its
gonna be tough to know if he keeps his word. Though we will be watching
his timeline to see any mentions of late-night food.
Joe Budden

Probably of Happening: 2/10
Joe Budden is a lyrical cat. Words are his thing. Thus, it should come
as no surprise that Joeys hopes for the New Year are language-related.
2011 is definitely gonna be a movie, though. (Sorry. Actually, were
with you Joe, just had to get that off our chest before the word is
retired once and for all.)
Game

Probably of Happening: 1/10
While we applaud Games motivation tweet, the truth is that not all of
us will capitalize off of EVERY opportunity bestowed upon us, its just
mathematically impossible. Plus if the everyman capitalized off of
everything, who would the capitalists capitalized of off? Awww forget
it, well just be happy if Game drops The R.E.D. Album in 2011.
Soulja Boy

Probably of Happening: 4/10
We love that you aim high, SB, and we hope that everyone out there is
going for it all. Actually realizing this will be a difficult
undertaking, though (again, depending on your definition of it all.)
Wiz Khalifa

Probably of Happening: 9/10
Admittedly, its unclear if the following from Wiz Khalifa is a New
Years resolution, a proclamation or just a general statement. But being
that he dropped it in the waning minutes of 2010, we figured he put
some thought into the tweet. Chances a rather large portion of Wizs
fanbase will get high, get the munchies and then eventually smoke
again. Whether or not they will be thanking him may ultimately hinge
upon the quality and success of his upcoming debut album on Atlantic
Records. only time will tell.
Diddy

Probably of Happening: 4/10
Diddy has become known as a man of inspirational tweets during his time
on Twitter. Not surprisingly, he continued the trend to start off the
New Year. Not exactly sure how to measure this, but consider us on
board for no b**chassness.
Rick Ross

Probably of Happening: 7/10
More than anything, this resolution and line from John Doe is just
confusing. Bo Diddley is a blues and rock and roll legend. Usually
people are still balling like [insert athlete name here]. Were guessing
Rozay meant Bo Jackson, but hes been retired from professional sports
for some time, so who knows. Nevertheless, like the man said, go cop
that #AshesToAshes if you havent yet.
50 Cent

Probably of Happening: 9/10
50 Saying hes on his way is a little off-base. Seems like youre already
there. But its that level of continued hunger that the Queens native
starts every year off with that keeps him making moves and staying
relevant.
